Music Banter - Hello my people!

I'm Greg. I'm a 17-year old drummer up in the arctic jungle of Maine. haha I've been drumming for 7 years, so I have a little bit of an idea of what I'm doing. I listen heavily to the works of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jimi Hendrix so naturally I'm in love with Chad Smith and Mitch Mitchell. Other than those two, I'm a big fan of Jack White, and pretty much anything 80s rock! I try to listen to anything, but I have a hard time with some country, but there is still good country, so don't take that for bashing! The reason I'm here is mostly because I'm playing with a couple of friends and we are starting to write, and I was hoping this community would help me get an idea of the process so we can get started. This is my first band that is... good if I can say that. My other projects have been boring, I finally get challenged with these guys! But I digress, I'm excited to be part of a community of musically excited people! haha I hope that you will find as you get to know me better, I'm a pretty chill guy with a decent sense of humor(as I also do stand up comedy.) But that's enough for the introduction, I'll stop rambling, excited to be here!
