My name is Eddy Walda. :]

My name is Eddy Walda, I'm new here, and I would love to become a part of the music community you guys have here. I'm kinda new to the idea of a forum community but I would love to give it a shot.

A little background about myself:

I am 19 years old,
I am a freshman at Harvard University in Cambridge MA
I want to concentrate possibly in computer science and music composition, (recent possibilities for medical research to cure my own disease may change that consideration)
My disease is FSHD, a very mild case of a very mild form of muscular dystrophy.
(It's not a big deal, and I'll freely answer any questions and chat about it)
I am a multi-instrumentalist, but my main thing is piano and singing.
I'm really not a great singer, but that won't stop me.
I love to video game, (guilty pleasure)
I am trying out ballroom dance for the first time this semester.
and overall, I am a relatively quirky and relaxed guy.

I suspect I'll put myself up for adoption, (if I can figure out how to do so) and I look forward to meeting you all. If you guys have any tips of how I can be an active part of this community, let me know. I'm all ears.

I look forward to hearing from you all! Enjoy life, it's too short to wonder if you're good enough, just go for it.

Welcome to MB.

What are some of your favorite artists/bands?

You've got a great outlook on life, and I hope you'll stick around. To echo Justin, what kind of music to you gravitate towards?

Just posted about this in the adoption thread. :p

Some of the bands I've been listening to recently are NEEDTOBREATHE (i actually just saw them in concert and they were amazing!), switchfoot, twenty one pilots, relient k, young the giant, white lies, death cab for cutie, the strokes, the postal service, passion pit, panic! at the disco, muse, mumford and sons, morning parade.

The authenticity of the music matters more to me than a particular genre. If you love what you're doing and mean what you sing, I'll generally like you.
