Well Death Grips is definitely on the top 5. Justin Timberlake and Beastie Boys. They're pretty good.

in the ideal situation of a 40-hour workweek, a person would be making $280 a week (before taxes); $560 biweekly. That's $1120/mo.

That might cover rent and utilities (water, electricity, gas), basic cable and internet. But I assume a person would be living on ramen.

And if you have a car, forget about it. That won't buy your car payments, gas, and insurance. (Which, in my own experience, usually add up to about $300/mo.)

$7/hr is poverty.

One of my friends makes that kind of money after taxes, and she's living with her parents.

Does Florida just have a lower cost of living or something? As trade-off for being literally the worst?

I'm anticipating a stamp of approval. Not that it matters---being thrown in the deep end can be fun too.

"Beastie Boys and Death Grips are two American hip hop acts" is an implausible sentence indeed.

It's called the ****ing South, man. We got plenty of people who believe the concept of a minimum wage is one step away from Stalinism. I was just happy when it went up from being a little over $5 an hour in Virginia a few years ago. $7.25! Woohoo! Rollin' in it!
