Hello from down under

Hi , I'm Paul , I'm 62 yrs old and currently in a 4 piece band playing a range of styles and these days mostly fundraisers in a small rural town. I play guitar, harmonica , and melodica.

I'm curious: If your real name is Paul, why is your username "Sammy"?

Sammy001 03-06-2015 09:14 PM

Well , Sam or Sammy were my nick names at school... Im a bit new to forums.. hope I did that right ?

Pet_Sounds 03-06-2015 09:21 PM

You're fine; I was just curious. What bands/artists do you dig?

Jethro Tull, Moody Blues and Knopfler are alright in my book and I'm merely in my early 30s. Welcome to the site, Sammy :)

Yes, of course!

I'm also quite fond of Django and gypsy jazz in general. An old favorite of mine which I've nagged others about on this board before is Jimmy Rosenberg who was a great guitarist before he retired :) (and still is I'm sure)

Of course he also plays a lot of Django!
