Default A place for music lovers.... awesome.

Hello! I'm April and I love music. I came here to talk about music with people who are as passionate about music as I am. I love a lot of different types of music, depending on my mood or what is happening around me. I'd say my go-to genre is alternative/indie but I do mix it up quite a bit. I think every genre has some great stuff in it if you're willing to spend the time sifting through it.

I also love movies. A good movie with a great soundtrack is heaven to me.

Looking forward to some good convo and learning a thing or two.

Thanks. I was a little underwhelmed by the first episode but the second has me a little more hopeful. The first season was just a work of art so it's hard to follow, but I'm interested to see where they're taking us in this season.

What about you?

Haven't lost hope yet. I'm sort of reserving judgement until we get to the halfway point of the season. Season 1 was fantastic from the very first episode, but it had a lot less to juggle. I think season 2 just needs more time, after all there's so much more going on in this season, twice as many starring roles, plus all of the families and associates of each main character, it's a lot to process. I'm sure it'll start sinking in soon. Episode 2's cliffhanger certainly caught my full attention.

Yeah, I was shocked at the end of episode 2. I have to say, I did not see that coming. If they can come up with any scene at any point in this season that can rival the last 15ish minutes of S1E4, I'll be thrilled.

I'm assuming you don't know any Ninja Turtles.

Janszoon - We're talking about True Detective.

The Batlord - Sadly, no. I haven't been asked that in about 10 years so thanks for making me feel young again

Just the Facts - Indie has always been a loose term for me but the first bands that come to mind are Modest Mouse, Built To Spill, One Line Drawing and Fences are some of my favorites. Lately, I've been listening to more electronic-alternative (I call it Altronica). Any Indie bands you think I should check out?
