Smile From Brasil!

Hello,

My name is Thiago, but you can call me Sabiá.

I live in Goiânia, a city in the midle of Brasil. I´m gonna be 30 in April.

Huge fan of Classic Rock, Punk, jazz, blues, bossa nova. Also Drum and Bass and Hardstyle.
I like Queen, Janis Joplin, Frank Sinatra, Aerosmith, Elvis...

Been looking for people to talk to, know music a little more.

I´m a singer and composer, learning about djing.

So, it´s nice to be here! Hope to learn some new stuff!

Well,

There are a lot of cool artists here! I don´t know if language barrier will take some of it away...

Samba: "Cartola" (listen to "O Mundo é um Moinho". It´s about the pain a father feels for his rebel daughter...)

Rock: "Os Mutantes", "Cazuza" (There´s even a movie about him)

Bossa: "Chico Buarque de Holanda" (poet, genius, musician, local hero)

I could go on for days... this are just a few of the big ones...

Thanks I've heard Os Mutantes but I'll check out the others.

About the extent of my Brazilian collection is Os Mutantes, Milton Nascimento and Dos Cafundos so any recommendations are welcome

Well, you might like: Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Maria Bethania, Gal Costa and Djavan. There´s a musical group called "Secos e Molhados" that is similar to "Os Mutantes", very cool too!
