Default Hello from the UK

Hi everyone!

I've been reading the genre education threads and they were pretty cool so I decided to join. I'm mostly into punk but quite like metal and general rock music too. Even the occasional acoustic song if I'm feeling mellow.

I play bass and sing. Most of the bands I've been in have been noisy and hilarious. My current project is more melodic but still chaotic enough to be just as enjoyable.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to chatting about music and such with you all

Ooh, good question. I'd say it varies, I go through phases of being really into different bands, but some bands that are always high up the list are: Bad Religion, Rancid, Rise Against, The Dead Kennedys, Bad Brains (their first album anyway), Gorilla Biscuits, Against Me! and The Restarts. A couple of other bands I've been listening to a lot recently are Ignite and Disfear.

How about you?

Absolutely love each of the first five bands you mentioned, not as familiar with the others outside of Against Me! Unfortunately, the punk section on the site is fairly slow, but you mentioned liking rock and metal, and those subforums are always much more active.

Ah, that's a shame. Still, perhaps I can help make it a little more lively.
