Quite a lot within the rock/metal/alternative spectrum, I suppose. There's a lot of 80's alternative/new wave stuff in most of my playlists (i.e. joy division/new order, talking heads, the smiths, depeche mode, the cure) just to name a few...

Love New Order. Depeche Mode is alright too IMO.

Welcome aboard. And if any of these guys give you any trouble, you can depend on me to come to your rescue.

(Not really)

The Smiths rule.

Love The Cure and Depeche Mode as well, you should fit in just fine around here.

Nice to meet you. What are your fave rock and metal bands?

Disintegration would probably be at the top of the list. Pornography was a great one too, I saw them live last month and their performance of One Hundred Years was almost better than the recording...

Also, sometimes I like to listen to seventeen seconds and faith back to back like a double album.

As far as hard rock/metal goes, basically... Tool, Korn, Primus, Marilyn Manson, Type O Negative, Mindless Self Indulgence, Megadeth, Static-X, SOAD, Rob Zombie, etc.... Classic Rock; Led Zeppelin, Sabbath, ELO, David Bowie, and so on...

90s grunge era; Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, not so much Nirvana these days, kinda burned myself out on them when I was younger.

And also... Miscellaneous alt/pop bands like Goo Goo Dolls, Barenaked Ladies, Crash Test Dummies, R.E.M., Collective Soul, Smashing Pumpkins, Live...
