Be careful a french mole is watching you

Hi there, I'm Ariane, a french 18 years old economic student (the number of adjectivs that the english language allows is very impressive).

I'm here because the music forum in France are not very active, and lately I have met dificulties in discover new musics, so I'm counting on you !
Instead of one favourite group I post you some songs I like, it is more relevant (sorry, it isn't allowed yet for a newbie to put links).
Mad Season : Wake Up
Chassol : Odissi [indiamore]
Filastine : Requiem 432
Ibrahim Maalouf : True Sorry

Ok so now my whole identity is revealed, I would be a pretty bad spy.

Waiting to talk to you very soon :)

(and sorry SORRY for my errors in english... Hoping that we will understand eachother, it isn't a certainty)

Hey do not hesitate to present yourself and your kind of music too, so that I could know you as well ! Let's say that my presentation is your presentation too :thumb:

Ok. I like a lot of different stuff and am always going through different musical phases. Right at this moment, the phase I'm going through involves listening to a lot of prog, space rock, and krautrock. Artists I'm digging a lot lately:
  • Ozric Tentacles
  • The Ullulators
  • Gong
  • Hawkwind
  • Rhun
  • Harmonia

pffft I make errors all the time, and I speak English ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Welcome to Music Banter, hope you stay a while. I did give Mad Season a listen. When I get a chance I'll listen to the other bands you posted.

I occasionally listen to French music, both old and new. I only know a little bit about it however. Some French bands (& singers) I like are: Elli & Janco, Françoise Hardy, Les Sirènes Débrouillardes (Lower Synth Department), Melody's Echo Chamber (Melody Prochet), Nouvelle Vague, Plasticines, Xeno and Oaklander (the singer Liz Wendelbo is French/Norwegian), Stereo Lab (Lætitia Sadier). These are some of my all time favorites:

Asylum Party - Julia

Elli et Jacno - Anne Cherchait L'Amour

OPERA MULTI STEEL: Jardin Botanique

Xeno and Oaklander - sentinelle

I just listened to the song the High Pass of Ozric Tentacles and it is funny how it sometimes reminds me the song New Eye of the band Goayandi, but in a more saturated and less acoustic way (I'm not musician :D). I like it !

Hi Neapolitan, thank you.
The song of Xeno and Oaklander is really nice ! Do you know Automelodi ? It's a french artist that maybe you could like given some songs you posted.

Meh. It's just a thread of me saying "keep" or "cut". I think the journal is rather uninteresting at the moment, but I'm still in the filtering stage. I think, as my collection shrinks to what I love, I'll have more to say about what remains.

I'd like to see your thoughts on the albums that you already know you love.
