Can't really see me all that well but I'm in my Operation Ivy shirt front row at a ska show. I saw Deal's Gone Bad, Voodoo Glow SKulls, and The Toasters play there.

I got to meet The Toasters frontman Robert Hingley after the show at the merch table and I shook his hand and he gave me a free shirt. I also shook the Voodoo Glow SKull's bassist hand and got a sticker. Since we were front row I was calling out song names and the guy from Deal's Gone Bad asked for my name and dedicated it to me. It was awesome. This picture in particular is just of a local band playing that I found on there myspace.

That's quite a line up. The Toasters seem to be the "odd band out". Iv'e seen them more times then I can mention. I've seeb VGS a handful of times as well. Both great bands, but in the realm of ska, as different as night and day. I havent heard Deal's Gone Bad.

I too thought it was a weird line-up but there was skanking through out and it was a great time. Deal's Gone Bad are a really chill band that is more reggae than ska and soul is kind of prevelent, but it was still insane.
