Sure, but I do not see why the US' laws should supercede that of any other country. Yes, if it occurs within their territory, but they surely cannot feel that they have jurisdiction over a foreign citizen in a foreign country, especially of the laws in said country deem it illegal: one is obliged to know the laws of one's own coutry, but one is not entitled to know the laws of a foreign country with respect to their actions outside its borders. To say they are is ludicrous.
