It doesn't sound dumb but it is dumb. Why not keep the actual title that the author called it? The whole marketing behind it doesn't make sense. Did they think American's are too silly to understand what a "Philosopher" is or something?! Is that word not used in the US? Like, what the.
They also changed a lot of vocab in the books when publishing them in America. Am glad I get to have all of the original versions with JK's original language in them!
Same with Where's Wally. Why change it to Waldo? Is Wally not a valid name in America?
