Fair enough! I agree that maxing sneak makes it too easy. With my main character (I am guildmaster of the Thieves Guild) I can pretty much run into people head on and they still don't know I'm there  Anyway, have fun with your thief! The thieves guild questline is my favourite in the game by far.

Yeah I have made so many different builds over the last year in Skyrim, but almost all of them have done the Thieves Guild questline, even if it didn't fit their character.
I'm actually playing through with a few sneak mods installed to make things a bit more challenging and to extend the time this build will take to finish. The pickpocket skill is so broken and levels up so fast that you can really screw up your character if you use it too much (if you're also using some kind of offense). I was playing a similar build to this, but without the mods and augmented a little bit by Illusion magic, but I've decided to go just straight stealth with this one, putting all my points into stamina. If my pickpocket gets good enough I can just steal the weapons and armor off of enemies so if I get spotted I'll stand a chance beating them.

Pete man, where'd that beard come from? Exactly how long have you been camped out in front of Skyrim?
I prefer the clean shaven Pete of the past.

The beard's nothing new, I started growing it around the ides of March and only shaved once due to a trimming mishap in June. I'm pretty sure I don't have a single picture of me from this year without facial hair.
As for how long I've been camped out playing Skyrim... the bottles of urine stacked next to my desk would indicate 3 months.
Clean shaven Pete is gone.
