You should stick with it. It's an interesting way to keep the blood flowin.

I felt so out of shape when I did it. I was like wtf does our guild leader not know that we are gamers and we don't have time for this active bullshit. There were numerous complaints from others as well. It was super hot that day also and we didn't bring any beer or water. We almost died. Well THEY didn't bring any water. I always carry water with me when I'm going outside during hot weather days especially in Texas.

Sounds like just bad conditions to me. With the right people, and conditions like a beautiful summer morning, it can be an eye opening experience that will stick with you.

Then again, I've introduced it to some and they just didn't take to it. It's not like playing Frisbee, or even golf for that matter. It does take some getting used to. Took me a few years, but then again I saw someone H.I.O. the first time I was out, so that made it seem a bit more magical at the time. Hopefully you'll get out there again sometime with a better environment.

They have several great courses in my area. They have two 18 hole courses in Long Beach at the same park. I used to be pretty avid about it but dropped off a bit. It certainly takes some time to perfect not only the correct pitch in throwing but also judging distance in shots. Its one hell of a good time usually depending on wind conditions.

I have a friend that will plan his vacation around going to certain courses all over the country. He even built a couple, and has one of the hardest shots named after him. He's a beast and although I get intimidated when I tag along, I sometimes score better. Usually when he has a bad day, and I have a good one.

I think I made a DG thread somewhere...

*checking*

The only reason I would bring a pair of gloves would be to use them as coozies for the beer. Which is certainly an integral part of disc golf.

That's weak. I'm a gamer, I don't get out for ****, and I'm fat and lazy as you please and I have no problem with getting around a course, and yes my home course is in the woods. If it's hella hot out then it starts to suck, but if you have the common sense to not go out when it's ninety degrees outside then you should be fine.

Yeah, well it's Texas so it's always bloody 90 degrees out and higher. It hit 97 that day and it was rough. We even went out earlier in the day to try to beat the heat but no dice.

Also you weren't on the course that we were. It was straight up rough. The whole experience was unpleasant all around. I'm glad I had water those other suckers didn't even have that. We made it to like the 10th hole and then just went back which was silly to make it that far with was like the furthest point of the course and then decide you want to go back. Might as well played through to the end since it wraps around back to the beginning. The lack of water was an issue though.

Then why does your location say New York?

what does that even mean in response to my post?

I'm so used to thirst meaning this nowadays.

2. Thirsty
To crave attention.
Trying to talk to the opposite sex (most likely)

Usually desperate guys trying too hard when hitting on women. They are thirsty.

I was on vacation. I went down to Austin Texas to meet up with my other guild mates from WoW. It was about 20 of us. We have a get together and meet up with each other irl every two years or so.

If you call "in real life" "irl" then it doesn't count. ;)
