"Hombre"?

I never knew it was a term til a few years ago when a young girl (maybe 17-18) I worked with approached me and said "you have such a pretty hombre" and I was like "what the hell is that?"

I guess it's when the bottom of your hair is a darker shade than the top or whatever. In my case it's literally just because of constant hair coloring in my youth. I'm a natural light brown.

Do you honestly think a girl who wears THIS much eyeliner would ever have time for additional hair?? I think not.

Impressive length. The longer the better I say.

The last time I measured it was a couple years ago (I was working in a print shop and had access to tape measures, yardsticks etc.) and it was 38 inches. I think. I keep it in braided pigtails for work because it keeps it all contained, otherwise it'd be such a huge pain in the ass.

I kept it in a bun about 4yrs ago until it got to be too heavy. I've been growing it for about 14yrs now.

Too heavy? I'm not surprised. That's a lotta hair.

I can picture you walking around with it in a bun, your head always tilted up from the weight. haha.

You should go as Cousin It for Halloween.

It was awful! I have to keep it down to some extent and it gets caught in things all the time. My coworkers really get a kick out of it. A couple girls I work with also have incredibly long hair, one of which dyed hers electric blue (and it looks fantastic). I had to use at least 10-15 bobby-pins to keep that bun in place.

 funny you should say that, because I took that pic for my mom, who shared to her facebook and said "daughter It". She was the one who wanted the pic in the first place and I had to stand on my tip-toes for it.

Some hair related qs:

How long does it take you to dry your hair when you wash it?
Have you ever thought about cutting it off or having short (ish) hair?
Does it ever get in the way of day to day stuff or get stuck in anything?

The Batlord 08-31-2015 04:31 AM

Does it have a name?
