God boo boo. Don't ever run for office, thats a terrible attitude.

Pull yourself up by your boot straps son. Try this...

1. In sales we discuss finding the buyers pain. See what she wants. And god help you if shes one of those girls who tries to fix guys, then you're screwed.

2. Bad Jokes. They're a slam dunk. Ignore the hype. Nerds win, just don't be socially akward.

3. Never give her compliments directly. Thats pandering. Always casually mention them to her friends as if they're no big deal.

One seems like begging, the other seems like an honest commentary that didn't have a hidden agenda. Like ****ing her brains out. Which I assume you want to do. I know the rest of the guys here considered it.

Oh well, if it doesn't work out, maybe I'll have a chance.

FAIL. HOLY GOD FAIL.

You're never gunna win **** with that attitude my friend. Its time to get ****y. No one has the time to care after sad sacks.

And where did this moral bull**** come from? You sound like my father. Being a good guy doesn't win you a damn thing. No one gives you a medal at 40 for being an hoenst ****.

This marine guy, he isn't a friend of yours. Its time to play hardball, get in there.

^^ That is so fucking patronizing.

How about a reality check? She's engaged to a marine, what are the chances she's EVER gonna fall for a bespectacled prog nerd/whimp? I say you should move on.... :\

Why does everyone think marine's are untouchable? They are human you know, they have faults... lots of them. Believe me, I live in a military city, chicks here HATE marines. It's stupid to say just because shes married to a marine means boo has no chance. Maybe she constantly regrets not marrying a guy who was more intelligent or genuine. The only way to know is to tell her how you feel. If that doesn't work, then move on.

I have already been doing all 3, though I don't get to see her as often as I wish, I still want to learn more about her.

I'm not an abrasive person, so pretending to be abrasive because chicks like it is probably a really bad idea.

I don't want to pretend to be something I'm not, women figure that kinda stuff out and it's one thing I know they don't like.

I want to try and be real good friends with her first. And if Sargent Buzzcut ever gets out of the picture.....

This will inevitably end in embarassing failure, but at least I'll try.

Thank you for your honesty but, goddamn, what a kick to the balls. :(

And I'd also like to note that sort of qualifies as patronizing too. Some chicks like nerds do they not?

Molecules 04-09-2009 04:13 PM

well he's a trained killer, so chances are he's thick as pigshit, and if he tries to kick your ass for stealing his girl you can just use your superior intelligence to induce a shellshock flashback and leave him weeping in the corner at the memory of the civilian who's head he caved in with the butt of his rifle

soldiers being government bitch-drones aside, you'll never know unless you try, but it's going to be rather difficult to cultivate a relationship with a married woman. Condolences mate!

What? Trying to entice a woman who is married to a government funded killing machine?

Eh... It's not the stupidest thing I've ever done in my life.

If she married a Marine to begin with, I'm pretty sure she did it on purpose. Everyone knows the story with Marines.

Boo doesn't think he has a chance because she chose the type of guy that's completely opposite of him.
At least, that's what I take from it.

boo boo 04-09-2009 04:32 PM

Everytime I try to get to know a girl shes either engaged to be married or underage. :(
