Easy mistake. They are similar. If you saw her full body it would be easier to tell.

How many pits do you have, brother? Any other breeds?

I actually don't have any, though I would certainly like one. I have a border collie and a cane corso. Most people who see our cane corso think she's a pit mix of some kind, they have a somewhat similar appearance to a sleeker pit. She's a paltry 85 lbs, but the males can get up to 120. Her dad was a monster. She is pretty much the best dog I have ever seen. Quiet, loving, intelligent, calm, and good with other animals. Border collies are great dogs and one of the most intelligent breeds in the world.
