It's an effect. Why have you used it? Does it improve the photo? Make a statement?

^I just like being artistic. So I used an emboss effect and a lens flare. Took a while to make it look okay though, and I'm still not happy with it. Turns out to make the emboss look decent the rgb needed to be screwed with.

But, what does the emboss do? It doesn't improve the photo. It's not artistic any more than ****ting on a piece of paper and sticking it on a wall because you're bored could be called artistic. What does it express?
