I'm foruming I'm doing it!

Hello, I am a DJ Incompetent character-guy.

I am the grand-elder of the millennials. Three out of five pundits decry me as a root of earth's problems. I am a refugee from what.cd and discovering new worhtwhile music has gotten more frustrating than usual. I forgot what talking to people about music is like and the usual social media is a cascade of wrongness, so let's forums!

I tried searching Sonos services for new consistent things, but it is difficult to find good curation of hard tracks.
I enjoy mashups (The Hood Internet, Girl Talk).
I'm into plunderphonics (Pogo, Eclectic Method, The Avalanches).
I enjoy turntablism (DJ Shadow, Mike Relm, Cut Chemist).
I fancy electroswing (Bart & Baker, Parov Stelar, Caravan Palace).
Drum n Bass is my friend (Dieselboy, Fred V & Grafix, Evol Intent).
Detroit Techno is yummy (Jeff Mills, Carl Craig).
I'd like better Gabba Hardcore (Angerfist, Evil Activities, Outblast).
Video Game Music is worthwhile (Yoko Shimomura, Keiichi Okabe).
I am motivated to hear commercial music, bands, and artists that give a feeling of a proper videogame boss fight.

I am raised on unpopular video games and have won trophies with my hand science.

I produce extraordinary avant-garde audiovisual mixtapes. Play your cards right and I will never show them to you..?

'hoping to be a pleasant sunshine!

spamming Dow Jones memes or Phantom drones is appropriate.

I'm into DnB when in a club but just listening to it sitting at home is boring as hell.

Thank you.

Sitting at home DnB is good for data entry tasks or some kinda programming binge. Or cleaning the house. Or sometimes a ASMR nap thing. I like that. Liquid DnB would be friendly here.

Welcome! Great to have more people into electronic, it's either indie, hip hop, post-punk, or metal here. Which isn't bad but always good to have variety. Love that DnB track too!

When I was heavy into the drum & bass it was my choice driving/walking music, best listened to while moving in one way or another.

Cool track, I haven't listened to any Grafix since the I Must Say LP in 2010, there were some great tracks on that album. I'm more of a neurofunk guy than a liquid guy.

I used to DJ neurofunk at house parties for fun, a couple of years ago. Here's a neurofunk mix I threw together and recorded one of those nights, might be a good source for you to skim through and maybe find something you like:

And some turntablism/scratching you might like, Danny Breaks is my favorite, only some of his tunes have heavy scratching like the one below but damn near all of his tunes are mondo jammin'. The Outer Dimension, Another Dimension, and Vibrations are all really cool full length instrumental hip hop albums.

One of my favorite full length turntablism releases, the late great Grandmaster Roc Raida's 52 Beats:

Definitely dig me some plunderphonia, classic pre-GT mashups, turntablism, and lots of early techno. My video game music leanings are strongly in the direction of 8-bit and MS-DOS / Sierra-age tracks.

And always glad to see an old member of WCD! Cheers!
