Hello

Hello. I'm from Argentina.

I don't like Facebook/tweeter and that stuff.

I don't like rap, trap, hip hop and related, but I hear a wide range of genres.

Frownland 12-18-2017 12:36 PM

Which genres do you hear?

Dude111 12-18-2017 03:05 PM

Welcome to the site!!

I would say anything (but rap). Yet it should have some catchiness.

This is probably up your alley then

LOL. Our concept of catchiness are incompatible!

Frownland 12-19-2017 07:06 AM

I guess it's not pretty much everything then. Who are some of your favourite artists?

^ HaHa! You will soon discover that Frownland has some unconventional tastes in music. He is probably at one extreme on this site, while we have a whole section devoted to pop at the other extreme. I'm probably somewhere in the middle, liking "world" music, jazz/rock and jam bands especially.

Apart from the bands you've posted in the Argentina thread, I wonder if you like many US or European bands; they are the ones that most people talk about here.

@ Frownland: "Princess Nicotine" is a great name; how long do I have to listen for before the catchiness kicks in? ;)

Frownland 12-19-2017 10:14 AM

It's at the cool part.

Lisnaholic 12-19-2017 10:17 AM

Thank you for that clarification!

Ok. You win. This time. :D

PD: I also hate cumbia villera. But I can enjoy some songs from an Uruguayan band in the genre.
Days ago, I also said that I hated regueton, but just day ago I heard a single song in the entire genre, yes a single song in the entire genre, which I enjoyed hearing.

Some artists with a lot of songs which I like are

Indio Solari (but I'm not into his new stuff)
Siamés
Diego Valdez
Alan Parsons
Pink Floyd
Vangelis
INXS
Queen
Dire Straits
Mozart
Blondie

I also like a lot of outsider/experimental music, but I never found another fans on the genre with the same tastes as me. (I'm not into noise or stuff that is just strange but not catchy).

Frownland 12-22-2017 10:36 AM

We have experimental appreciators of many flavours here.

The catchy requirement makes me think you might dig this

I think it's catchy at least. Hard to get out of my head whenever I hear it.

I like some parts of it.

If someone asked me what I has just heard, I would say "generic jazz".

I had been checking your threads, and compared to you, I'm into mainstream girly pop :)

I like this song, but it is a cover, and I hear the original when I hear this one. I mean, I hear things that are not actually recorded on this video.

So, I cannot transmit my experience, my perception, to you. I like it because It makes me hear a ghost on my imagination.

I also like the anger.
