Default Hi Im New

Hi Folks

I love all kinds of music, everything from Rock Jazz Fusion to Folk.

It would be impossible for me to name my favourite bands as there is soo much I love, but I do lean towards classic rock/blues rock/folk rock.

I enjoy photographing local bands in my area.

I also am part of a youtube channel that debates and reviews classic albums.

Anyway, I look forward to posting and joining in on music discussions!
Thanks!

I like Sun Ra, Wizzard, The Free Spirits, maybe cliché but Zappa.

For classic rock I like all kinds of bands, I like popular stuff like Zeppelin and Grand Funk Railroad, to more obscure bands like Blodwyn Pig and The Groundhogs.

Any suggestions?

Probably a majority of music I like is from the 70s. I also like folk artists (classic and contemporary) like Townes Van Zandt and Elliot Smith.

Was just listening to Townes last night. You dig hillbilly music at all?

Zappa thwarted cliches...then ran those thwartations into the ground with some variations along the way.

@OP contrarians are always welcome, I'm sure that you'll do well here.

Thanks everyone!

Don't mean to slag Zappa atall, love Zappa, just thought maybe its not a deep pick for a jazz musician as he is so famous, but he is also very prolific and fits into a lot of categories, and none at the same time.

Can't say I listen to much Hillbilly music, any suggestions?
Ever hear of a band called profane sass? Does that count?

Hey Occulthawk, you ever listen to Blodwyn Pig? They are kind of jazz/blues/rock from the early 70's, the guitarist was the original guitarist in Jethro Tull.
