My Intro

Hello, I’m Geech or George.

Just looking for somewhere to discuss music :)

I’m a huge Fan of pretty much every genre, I love Hip Hop the most but listen to everything from Techno to Country.

Favourite Acts are Flatbush Zombies, Death Grips, The Smashing Pumpkins and Run The Jewels.

In my spare time I love to party, play rugby and play video games, as well as lurk forums and read up on music and streetwear.

Gotta say those two names don't exactly go together.

I like the three rap acts.

FZ are lame
DG contrived
RTJ boring

Smashing Pumpkins are a good band

you sound young. question: can you say some more things about the smashing pumpkins beeing one of your favorite acts?

i m asking because as a teenager or in my early twenties i was a huge fan of them but nowadays i think they re kinda...irrelevant. and also that they havent recorded anything decent for 2 decades or so.....

Yeah, I’m pretty young. I’m 17. I listened to a lot of Siamese Dream, Adore and Melloncollie when I was younger. But when I started getting into black flag and TSOL and really just into the hardcore punk scene, it made me appreciate them even more honestly, the heavy metal influence and just how weird and distorted the guitars are - especially on adore are amazing.

I feel like my acts list was a little short, I’m hugely into techno, I like Alan Fitzpatrick, aswell as classic local DJs like binman and x Ray who never really broke out of the local area I like Felt aswell as a local indie bands such as Brand New Friend and Hot Cops which I recommend you all check out. Both awesome. As I’ve said I love hardcore punk, also love the smiths and would listen to a lot of Morrissey, I like your arsenal the most, I know a lot of people hate it but it’s w/e.

Used to be super into Nu Metal, also into Brit Pop and sort of just generally british artists, but haven’t dived much deeper than What’s the Story, Urban Hyms and Stone Roses self titled, I like the kooks and stereophonics and ****.

In terms of hip hop, big into the beast coast movement and previously into OF. Not so much of a fan of Tyler’s new ****, call me edgy but I feel like there’s way better neo soul than what was offered on Igor. Hugely into Flatbush Zombies fell in love with Better Off Dead - great mixtape, same with a lot of the New York psychedelic rap scene - Indigioism, Live.Love.Asap and Better Off Dead did a great job at that honestly.

I can chat about any genre, wether it be a breakdown of Steve Earle’s discography on a country board or why in the aeroplane over the sea is overrated on a another.

I think this maybe should have been my intro, but I was tired. Glad I got a warm welcome :)
