Welcome to MB Idris :wavey:
Good to see another Brit -and a blues fan - here. Perhaps I'll see you in the Jazz&Blues section, though these days I spend more time ranting in the UK politics thread.

Thanks I haven't made my way over to the thread yet but look forward to chatting in there, and as for the politics its all getting a bit personal so I have stopped commenting online

I think that's wise. Especially at the moment.

Who are some of your favourite artists mate?

Neapolitan 09-17-2019 10:26 PM

Welcome to the site, Ed.

I like pretty much any music too and I'm also a Blues fan. I like Country to Electric Blues. Mississippi John Hurt is one of my all time favorite. I dabble a little in finger-picking. I also like British Rock in all its styles & iterations. I'll listen to bands from The Shads to Sulk.

^ That's a commendable way to start, Idris, but sooner or later you'll end up like the rest of us on MB ;):-

I think my problem is my favorite is who ever I'm listening to at the time but if I had to choose one I guess Bix Beiderbecke from the old days even tho hes suppose to be a jazz man there is lots of Blues in his music, of the current artist that would be Seasick Steve

I don't get where you are going with "dead cowboys." People got shot up and died just as much they did in a Mississippi John Hurt song as cowboys did in Marty Robbins song.
