Yeah, I remember when I was at the wee age of 9 in 4th grade. I had more street cred than any other whippersnapper in my class. Even the teacher wouldn't dare to cross me.

Youths it is all about street cred...
It’s just that guilty pleasure is a strong statement, that indicates that you need to feel ashamed for enjoying something because you know it’s objectively bad, but you enjoy it nevertheless.
It seems counter intuitive to use it in reference to arguably the greatest and most creative period of music making
