hello, new here... a question to ask

Hi there, JCG.

There is a place / thread to promote music, but promoting anything has been a privilege reserved for established members of this site who contribute in various other ways.

See: https://www.musicbanter.com/introduc...-10-07-12.html

As a result, brand new members who are quick to promote things may be targetted by efforts to keep down spam. Note that I'm not a moderator and don't speak on their behalf, but the old rules are still up and unchanged in this regard.

My recommendation would be to first try out MB and see if you like it as more than just a place to promote stuff.

ok, thanks for the info. I could imagine that if we would have here a special place for self promotion of own music, it wouldn´t be bad.

Great! So what kind of music do you like? Any favorites?

He just told you, we do; but it's reserved for those who we see are going to stick around and contribute to the forum, not just promote their music and then sod off never to be seen again. Guybrush's advice remains: if you want to be part of this forum, take part and at some point you'll be allowed post or promote your music. If you just want free advertising, wrong forum.
