!K7 Records is renowned as one of the most diverse labels for electronic music. International success with artists like K&D, Herbert, Ursula Rucker and a Guy Called Gerald make !K7 one of the most influential labels worldwide.
Created in 1985, !K7 now also operate a global network that has brought the best of independent labels and artists to the forefront while also releasing hugely successful projects including DJ KICKS. It's a multi-faceted picture, in full stereo and of incredible quality for which the Berlin based label stands.

MATTHEW HERBERT:

Restless innovator Matthew Herbert is one of electronic music's most versatile and prolific figureheads. Herbert presents material from his current album 'Scale' (!K7), a sophisticated conversation between luxuriant jazz, sumptuous disco and sensual house rhythms. Beneath its deceptively glitzy surface, lies quietly anguished meditations on mortality, global suffering and the end of the oil age. As ever Herbert?s music is engaged in lively dialogue with the wider world, the past and future of experimental music and with its own political and economic origins.

HENRIK SCHWARZ:

Trading his turntables for a laptop, Henrik Schwarz has been producing for 10 years and has since been the author of several EPs. Influences found in his compositions primarily include such masters as Carl Craig and Theo Parrish, as well as much of the music originating from Chicago and Detroit.
On all levels, his captivating selections deliver a full dose of heat. However, it?s not under the tropical sun, but under German skies, that Henrik Schwarz has composed his explosive creations. Effectively, others have it rough these days; with the vivacity of his musical production the German scene continues its long-standing tradition of exciting crowds and heating up venues. Schwarz? irresistible performances are living proof: a veritable wave of good vibrations that instantly consumes you.
