Sinatra

Need I say more?

I wonder how he's regarded on this forum.
Frank Sinatra is one of my all time favorite recording artists, I know it's a bit cliche but I can't help that. The man put so much into some of his songs it's just awesome. I was actually driving to school this morning and "I'm a fool to want you" came on my CD; it pretty much made me cry. I've never heard another singer who can make me feel so many emotions with thier work.

Also, my favorite song of his would be "The Coffee Song"
because I love coffee and I relate it to some great memories.

An obvious legend, my favorites are Send In The Clowns and New York

Jazz and Blues? Try pop. Not to be rude.

Mr_headshot 09-12-2007 08:12 PM

I realize it was pop, but also big band jazz and lounge.

considering he sang with the likes of the Dorsey Bros. and Buddy Rich...I believe that would be considered Jazz, popular Jazz.

Would Glenn Miller or Count Basie be pop too?

ProggyMan 09-12-2007 08:32 PM

He di do that, but most of his popular, generally considered definitive work was easy listening pop.

Mr_headshot 09-12-2007 10:01 PM

Which I'll agree with, I consider him mainly lounge jazz though. Seeing as how he was a "lounge" act
