Soul Britannia

http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/soulbritannia/episodes/

Starts tonight on BBC4. ^

How the British took to black American Soul music and the effects it had on our nation. Not to be missed. :)

It started last week ;)

Ian Levine said he was interveiwed for this episode

Tonight is Northern Soul night...it starts tonight! :)

And Levine shouldn't be allowed anywhere near an interview.
Granted he did a lot for the scene in the early days...but seems hell bent on spoiling it with his own brand. :(

OOPS Gotta go...

Not much about Northern Soul then.

What wasn't mentioned is the fact that the scene is still going strong today.
Well at least Levine didn't get to embarrass himself too much.

They should have interviewed Richard Serling instead.

Less about Mick bloody Hucknell & Culture Club would have been nice.

Was really p[i]ssed off that I missed this. I personally think that Reggae and Dub had more of a lasting effect on our country.
