Me, definitely. His stuff with Astrud Gilberto is gorgeous.

Gratz on your educated post.

He's pretty chill and what I've heard I really like.

thats pretty much how i'd describe the music too, the chords he uses are stunning too, i mean i do need more to go by but really think there's a gem here i've been missing out on.

Getz really tied a lot of things associated with Bossa Nova into cool jazz, many look up to him as an influence.

I'd have to say "Girl From Ipanema" is my favourite tune as well, although there's another on his Bossa Nova Classics album I dig as well.

One of the best jazz tenor saxophones ever, he was my favourite for a while; his tone, rhythm, and style are ace.

Getz was a jazz giant. The legendary John Coltrane had great respect for his playing.

I love what I've heard of him but out of the 50 some albums he has released its hard for me to choose a second album, any recommendations?

Wow, there's only seven posts dedicated purely to Stan Getz on this forum.

A couple of Stan Getz tunes I like.

He was the leader in that sound but a notoriously difficult person to work with.
