I agree. The Yardbirds were Blues Traditionalists during the 60's and while they made some great music, I think Page and his unique style needed a forum like Led Zeppelin to really be expressed,

Why's Clapton winning this he only played on a couple of covers & a live album that didn't get a worldwide release until the 1980s.

Jeff Beck was the one who really gave them their sound.

Who doesn't love the Yardbirds.......Beck, Clapton, Page, .......not much too complain about lol. As a "Yardbirds" guitarist I said page, But as an overall guitarist and blues guy I go for clapton.
