Far East Suite is my favorite Ellington album of all, Marie. :love: First album to bring drummer Rufus "Speedy" Jones's exotic rhythms to the fore. Thanks for rejuvenating my love of Duke - he was truly "beyond category".

Missed posting this on his bday, but i've been listening to him and Art Blakey a lot these past few weeks. I believe the true MB-ers would call this particular album "unassailable"

I have a copy. I played it once and my girlfriend put her headphones in immediately. Sign of a great record right thurr.
