One of the best new bands around, their first record comes out sometime this summer, but they play all over the Midwest. They're from somewhere in Missouri, and they are, like, Southern-fried swampadelic Hendrix-y bluesy, boozy...but with that Stonesy swagger and actually deep lyrics. One singer sounds like Warren Haynes (but blacker), the other one sounds a bit like Lennon. Total bluesy on one hand, but very catchy songwriting (**** gets stuck in your head), with a goal jazz-inflected rock and roll rhythm section (the bass player reminds me of Geezer Butler, and the drummer is Mitch Mitchell re-incarnated.)
So, I didn know whether to post this in the "rock" section or "blues", because it's pretty bluesy, but rocking at the same time. They also incorporate elements of jazz (lots of improv and jamming), soul, funk, gospel, and country.

Check 'em out.
