Has anybody ever heard of this legend?

My favorite song by Bessie:

Of course, those who haven't are pitiful, this woman was simply awesome, she was so good it was scary.

Bessie Smith does it for me in all the right ways. At first I thought "wow this is terribly bare-bones music" but in retrospect it's really charming and extremely emotional. Her voice is amazing, too, and sometimes the tracks throw me for a loop (is it Haunted House Blues that has that crazy sound in it?).

Bessie Smith...I can't put into words how amazing she was! Love her! Favorite song has to be Nobody's Blues But Mine. <3
