Need help with jazzy music

Hello.
I need help, i'm making a piece of music, same genre/style as a song called:

Hungaria - Latché Swing

How should I set it up? Small chords played a special kinda way or stuff? I've been sitting so long, and i still can't get something that has the same feeling as this.

And I know I should just keep working, and not copy other's style.

Some kinda scale, or? Idk, I really need help with this one.

Okay

The first thing when making a piece other than the blues style, is to consider how you order your chords. Chord ordering is an UBER important factor when it comes to jazz. BUT, before you make the chords, construct the melody first. It's a lot easier to have a foundation to build upon and the melody would be in this case.

For the first part, use the I and the V of the V (5th of the 5th [i.e. D is the 5th of the 5th of C). From here, you can take the V of the I then return to the one. A few jazz artists use this progression.

If you're doing an ABA pattern song, start with a simple progression, like the one stated above, then, for the bridge, use a steady ii-V-I or even a ii-V fake-out (which doesn't resolve to the I). The bridge is usually made in ii-V-I patterns. Once back to the A section, for the ending, tag it 3 times, with a ii-V-I. Repeat the ii-V-I twice and on the last time perform a ii-V mountain hike, where you go up to the VI7, then resolve it back down to the one.

So

The tag ending should look like this

ii-V-I (x2)
ii-V-iii-VI7-ii-V-I
