Default John Coltrane - 1965 - Meditations

In the background, I'm playing John Coltrane's 1965 album 'Meditations'. On the first spin of the CD, I managed to sit through the whole thing but really didn't like it.

On a second play (today), I notice a few patterns that I didn't catch on the first play. Now I'm starting to get into it.

I think, with my lack of playing John Coltrane and more specifically Jazz, this might be a good album to start with. I also have a copy of 'Ascension' to act as a reference point for when I finish this album.

Does anyone else have an opinion on this release? Opinions would be appreciated.
