Nine Below Zero (blues, bass, rock, guitarist, covers)

Ive known this band for a while now, discovered them after watching the young ones, just wondering if anyone else has and what they think. Ive got their "Live at the marquee" CD, which has alot of great covers, but just wondering if anyone else has heard o them.

Yeah, British blues/rock band who've been around since the 70s. I've seen them once, well technically, twice--I'll explain:

During the 80s, Rory Gallagher's band consisted of Ted McKenna on drums and Gerry McAvoy on bass and, on stage, they were often joined by Mark Feltham (of Nine Below Zero) on harmonica. Sometime around 1991, Ted McKenna and Gerry McAvoy left Rory and joined NBZ. I went to see Nine Below Zero and realised I was actually looking at Rory Gallagher's late 80s line-up along with NBZ guitarist, Dennis Greaves.

Next thing you know, amidst an array of Rory tribute bands, a group comes along called "Band of Friends" who bill themselves as "Rory Gallagher's Band". I go along to see them and realise I'm actually looking at Nine Below Zero with a different guitarist! Dennis Greaves appeared on stage for a few numbers too so it was basically NBZ by a different name ;-)

Ahh yes, classic british comedy! Yeah I only know that one song from th Young Ones, and it was ok. Very catchy I must admit, not too sure about his body movements, but then he might not like the way I move on stage lol!

Anyway yeah they are ok, for what I've heard of them! From the sounds of it though I would prefer to see another band from that time, like the Madness etc...
