Dear Father Xmas.

These are the letters my kids have (dictated) written to Father Xmas.

Luke. (age 5)
Dear Father Xmas, I am trying very hard to be a good boy for everyone, so please may I have some favourite toys I have been wanting.

Bike
Furby
Some games
Toy camera
Toy ghost (don't ask)

Also please give some toys to the poor people because their mums and dads have no money. (like I'm loaded!)

Hannah. (age 3)
Dear Father Xmas, I am really trying hard to be a good girl, so please bring me some toys.

Bike
Some games
Dollies pram
Dollies cot.

Thankyou.

Any good ideas for other pressies for kids this age, will be apprieciated. :)

*contributions should be made payable to the right-track Xmas relief fund.
Major credit cards accepted ;)

franscar 11-24-2005 02:30 PM

Get them both the same bike, and teach them an interesting and valuable lesson about sharing.

Imonlydancing 11-24-2005 02:31 PM

A PET GHOST?!
Oh. Toy Ghost...
Still...
I think that big lego is quite cool.
Then they can't swollow it...

jibber 11-25-2005 06:16 PM

lego, tons of lego, and playmobile, i had about 5 garbage bins full of that stuff when i was a kid. Lego is apparently going out of business, thats so depressing. damn kids these days and their video games. get your daughter some my little ponies too, i had a ton of them too, and made them fight in wars against my brothers x-men and transformers. his toys won though.

BlueEyedSuicide 11-25-2005 07:40 PM

I played with Lincoln Logs quite a bit. And I distinctly remember a wagon that like went everywhere with me (I live in the country).

Legos is going out of business?

I have never owned a video game consul. So I really can't comment on that one.

mosesandtherubberducky 11-25-2005 07:44 PM

Furbies can be bad...they will repeat what you say... Legos get them legos...If God wasn't an overachiever he would of used Legos like everyone else!

riseagainstrocks 11-25-2005 08:23 PM

Guns. Lots and lots of guns.

but seriously, I really liked Knex as a kid

but more seriously, guns.

mosesandtherubberducky 11-25-2005 08:24 PM

No don't give them guns. Give them the trigger and tell them it is a scaverger hunt and they have to find all the parts and put it together with their teeth...that would make a bitchin' TV show.

haha, that reminded me. about 5 years ago, my cousin got a furbie for christmas. she discovered that when you hold it upside down it cries and makes really diestressed little noises, and generally just starts freaking out. now, my cousin loved her furbie, and hated it when anyone did that to it. so my uncle decided he would duct tape it to the ceiling. my cousing was very short at the time. funniest sh*t i've ever seen. so if you get your kids furbies, you can do that to them and it will provide tons of entertainment.

maybe i'm feeling a bit emotional today, but this is one of the sweetest things i've read, my eyes watered...

Spikey 11-26-2005 07:22 AM

Dear Santa,
Please give me some money cos' I'm broke.

And I know what your gonna say santa...No I haven't been very good this year.....Yes I understand that.......No of course I won't set the cat on fire again............

Merkaba 11-26-2005 01:02 PM

Don't be sorry, the cat has to stay warm somehow.

Knex was cool, and lego. But definitely Knex. I built a mini theme park outta that stuff, kept me entertained for weeks. And it was a god-send when I finally got my wee motor to make the Ferris Wheel turn by itself:laughing:

Imonlydancing 11-26-2005 01:39 PM

Surely you can't buy them things like lego or Knex (even though they are cooool) cos they might eat them and choke...
I dunno...
Just saying...

IT would only take one time and they would learn that you don't eat them, and besides they might figure out how to use Knex and Legos in the same project...that would be soo cool...I still have my legos, it is like one milk crate full.

the five year old will be fine. get the three year old brio trains. I had soooo many of those growing up. me and my brother took up the entire bottom floor of our house making these elaborate railway systems, soo much fun.

madeinNY 11-26-2005 08:10 PM

Hot damn. I want a pet ghost! ROFL!

No, seriously, that was cute.

Spikey 11-26-2005 11:45 PM

Lego or any toy that's fun but educational..I used to love lego...Now you mention it.....I want to play with some lego now!!!

Do your kids like anything in particular? Like my sister loves Dinosuars, so my parents used to get her fossils and books on them..She used to go all giggly and loved it. Something that they enjoy and that's educational if poss.

Merkaba 11-27-2005 01:34 AM

Just buy them a Pony each

But make sure you spray paint Luke's one blue:rolleyes:

Scarlett O'Hara 11-27-2005 02:00 AM

Right track do not, I repeat, do not, buy your daughter Bratz dolls, they are asking for 8 year-old girls to be sluts.

I thought exactly the same thing when I saw them advertised

Scarlett O'Hara 11-27-2005 02:08 AM

At least barbie has good taste in clothes and very little make-up. I would give my daughter a Barbie over a Bratz doll anyday. Bratz scream anorexic. Not saying Barbie's better in that respect, but she still has class.

Cheese 11-27-2005 02:13 AM

^She's still looking good considering she's past 60

BlueEyedSuicide 11-27-2005 11:00 AM

She also had quite a few interesting career choices..

While Bratz seem to be edging towards the "Cheap Hooker" area of employment.

God loves you for saying that. Why must children play with dolls that first of all have brat in the name and secondly wear skirts that are just super short. I wouldn't be suprised if there were a Bratz with a head bobbing actions.

ladyluckrules 11-27-2005 11:27 AM

It's a tad difficult seeing as I don't know how old they are but anyways:

For your daughter:

http://www.letterbox.co.uk/

There's some really sweet stuff, good for dolly type things. They also have a catalogue. I still have one of their hairbrushes from when i was 4 o_o

http://www.katzwhiskas.co.uk/

If she's into Hello Kitty, as I once was, this website is great for things you can order in the uk, I'd go for something like the scarf [nice and cosy and she can wear it on the day]

For your son:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...111734-1387062

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...111734-1387062

He probably wants the newer furby, with kerazy colours, 6 times more memory and some spoon-type thing, god knows why.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...111734-1387062
If by toy camera do you mean, the real deal 4 year old toy camera, with plastic bits that snap off, then this should be about right.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...111734-1387062
This looks good for 'games'.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...111734-1387062
Or this one if he's younger. Heehee, crunching crocodile.

Hmm, hope that helps, just say more stuff they like and I'm sure we could come up with some more things.

Imonlydancing 11-27-2005 11:40 AM

^ Whoah.
Zoe.
You clearly thought about thisss...
I wish you were my MOM.

My kids love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. They would have fun with something like that, even at their age.

My daughter sometimes insists I call her Charlie, she ignores me if I don't.(strange child).

madeinNY 11-27-2005 02:15 PM

So, please, I really wanna know about this toy ghost. lmao no joke.

mosesandtherubberducky 11-27-2005 08:23 PM

Legos man...that was all that I played with...Legos and Duplos and erect-a-set or something like that it was like Legos but with screws and metal

I agree, and yet people complain that children are losing their innocence. And we wonder why old men go and hit on 8 year-olds, look at what they are wearing!
