Wow, I feel so lame right now.. It sucks that I feel lame because Im not laughing at a suicide case.

you know im kinda with the two of you on this. as bizaar as it is to make a suicide note as public as he did, (he also text messaged friends before he did it, saying goodbye and that hes sorry) the kid obviously had some problems. If you go to his myspace page and read some of the comments that his friends have left him since he did it, it is pretty sad. A few of his friends, that actually knew him, have a differant story about him than what was printed in the article. I would have to believe someone who actually knew him over someone working in the media. Some of them say that it wasnt over his ex gf, but that hes been really depressed for some time now, and even tried to commit suicide once before but they caught him in time. Depression is a caused mostly by a chemical imbalance in your brain. I highly doubt him listening to emo, or him breaking up was his reasons for ending his life. Look at the comments, he had friends, friends that would of been there for him if they could. And misfits, you should be the last one talking about being soooo scene, you have almost the identical emo haircut as this kid, does that make you suicidal too? should we all laugh and joke about how much of a pozah you are when you blow your head off?

i agree. suicide isnt really something to laugh about. although i have to admit, that it was pretty lame that he posted a suicide note on myspace of all places. now people are gonna think its some evil place where kids talk abotu killing themselves. soon there'll be news reports on protecting your kids from myspace when in itself its not that bad. it sucks that this happened but i defientely think he couldve done different. handled it better, i should say.

i find nothing funny about suicide.....i didn't even read any of that stuff but the mere fact that the guy killed himself.....should be enough not to ridicule him...he's gone, it's a tragedy.....

I'm with misfits on this one. This kid did a really stupid thing and judging by everyone's response, I am sure he is getting all of the attention and things that he anticipated from his selfish act. I do not feel sorry for this kid, I feel sorry for his parents who have to deal with how selfish their son was for the rest of their lives.

Not only that but how many copycats is this attention going to attract?

Maybe in a few years you will be able to go out and get Pepsi or Pizza Hut to sponsor your suicide

This kid makes me sick
ROT IN PEACE AND THINK ABOUT HOW MISERABLE YOU HAVE MADE YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY

^ what he said. suicide is the most selfish thing anyone can ever do, it solves nothing. and myspace is supposed to be "a place for friends" not a place for morbid bastards. what ever happened to simply leaving a note in you're pocket or something?

Wow. Just, wow. How the fuck can you people sleep at night? What is even remotely funny about someone killing themselves? Do you laugh at all suicides, or just this one? This one is no different, he just left the note in a different way is all. Makes little difference when you put it next to such a loss.

You guys can say suicide is as selfish as you want, but nothing will ever give you the right to laugh at the people we've lost. The fact that you laugh because there are so many people out there who've just lost someone close to them is just sick.

im actually with misfits on this one as well. yes, this kid may have commtted suicide because "his life sucked", but, think of all the people who's lives he tore in half. his parents probably feel horrible, they probably felt like they had done something wrong in not helping him. all of his friends and family will miss him for the rest of lives, and why? because he couldnt get over the fact that his girlfriend broke up with him?

now, im not necessarily saying that suicide is a selfish act, but in all reality and logic, the people who commit suicide (at least this is my view on it) dont think about the effects their death will have on the people aroud them. many of them probably dont realize that their lives mean a lot to other people. i mean sure, it was his life to live or in this case take...and not theirs, but the fact of it is, if he had had any respect for those people, he would have gotten counceling or he would have tried to get help. it's obvious by the comments they left him on his myspace page that any of those people would have been more than willing to help him through his problem. but he didnt bother to try getting help apparently, and when he finally decided to kill himself, he left a message on the internet, of all places.

i feel sorry for this kid. one, because he had problems.

but he didnt bother getting help with his problems. instead he dicided that he would be wreckless and kill himself. he did that out of sheer disrespect for anyone who cared for him. thats why murder junkie is calling him a selfish person. and, although as i stated before, i do feel sorry for this kid, i feel more sorry for the people that have to deal with his death.

ArtistInTheAmbulance 12-09-2005 11:35 AM

What makes you think he didnt get help? Maybe he did, you can't be sure. Which is why Im pissed off that everyone's laughing at this guy's death, when to be fair, they can't possibly know why he did it. Even if the police were 100% sure why, the media's a bitch, on those reports they wrote more on the fact that he posted about it on myspace than the actual death.

riseagainstrocks 12-09-2005 11:38 AM

He posted on Myspace.

that's why he's lame. killing yourself is not a solution.
