Here is the point, if some of them think they are better for being sxe, and some of them preach, and some of them kick puppies, etc then why belong to that group? Why not just say "I'm a person who chooses not to do drugs" and be friends with others who don't do drugs. Doesn't that make more sense than making a club out of it?

^Yes, but sometimes seeing that X on there hand or there other straight edge friends helps as a reminder i don't agree with labelling it, but they do and some aren't eltist pricks and its disrespectfull to them to say they all are

People like it and i know i do i don't think its "****ty" thats only an opinion.
Generlizing is wrong because its never right not ALL of them do.
I'll give you that most do, but not all thats disrespectful to straight edgers who don't do it.

Its a lifestyle, everyone follows a trend at some point.
Even being a non conformnist is a trend.

unless you can honestly argue that there are people out there who have been committed to straight edge for 30 years then its not a lifestyle its a minor trend.

EDIT: I just want to say that I'm not against the sXe lifestyle, I'm against the fact that the people who live the lifestyle have given themselves a label

There most likely are, people who are hardcore minor threat fans most likely and have been following them since the 80s.

Normally if I want to remind myself of something I write it on my calendar. I find it's easier that way.

Some do it on purpose and know its wrong and still do it and only say they're christians because they wanna look good.
