Glad I ain't gotta worry about snow or salty roads down here. Not to bad in the weather, only had a problom when there's a 15+mph cross wind, gets to swervin a lil bit. Think that's because it's so tall even for 370lbs. Hell as far as terrain though, I've had it mudding, in the sand (she don't like sugar sand too much though, bit noseheavy), all kinds of dirtroads. I just gotta take is easy in some places because my suspension is dialed out soft for better highway rides.

Eh? Why would you want super skinny tires for winter? Larger tires = more surface area on the ground, that is more grip. Or am I completely missing something?

I think she meant low profile tires? They have them for winter too.

FETCHER. 01-28-2012 08:07 PM

Are you two being serious? Low profile tyres are probably the worst tyres ever in snow. No exaggeration, skinny tyres cut through the snow easily. I can't believe a canadian just said that

Haha! I said that because I thought that's what you were talking about. I know that low profiles are absolute **** in the snow, there is hardly any tread on them! Right now I just have regular snow tires on my car. I save the low profiles for the other three seasons.

Sadly yes. I used to own a car but it got to expensive and I sold it for junk. The bikes great most of the year just winters are a pain. Not to mention its aged like 10 years this winter.

FETCHER. 01-29-2012 09:12 AM

Btw rezz, 13 quid here is $20.45 over there.

Edit: bikes are awesome. I'd have one in a heartbeat if I didn't need to sit a bike test. Dirt bikes on the otherhand, there was about 3 at one point in my back garden and one in the shed :D

Same here, truck got too expensive between fuel and insurance. Traded it at a Harley dealer for my KLR. Fun part is I only paid $500 for my truck but I traded it for $1500 against a $2100 bike  That was pretty cool, even told the salesguy the truth of it once the deal was final and I was loading up. The real punchline though, he had to buy my truck because the wholesaler they work with didn't want it  So he paid $1000 outta HIS pocket for MY bike. Oh AND he used to be a cop-so I got a two for one, screwed a cop and a salesman at the same time!

This is only my second bike. I've had fourwheelers and buggies galore but only two bikes, a KX and this KLR. I went from 150cc to 650cc lol I like doin 100+mph almost enough to want a streetbike but I love passing in the ditch at 60-80 even more-and making a U-turn within a lane.

My brothers had a KX, and a KTM. His most recent was one of the ones with the dipped down seats so you need to stand, never been on one of those.

Birtbikes are fun, but dangerous as hell. I loved my KX (even though it was a turd) but I wiped out almost every time I went riding lol I'm a learn by trial sorta guy.

I feel like if I was in Scotland I would understand nothing. Your slang is so much different then here in the states. Hell its hard to understand some people in my own country sometimes, between the deep south and northeast. If I hadnt lived in both places I wouldnt get anything they were saying!

FETCHER. 02-02-2012 02:39 PM

tapped is slang. I borrowed a bill of ten pounds sterling ;).

you would get on fine here I swear! I can talk easier without saying "what" every 5 seconds to Americans better than the English. :)

Haha swaheli, I've never heard a pittsburgh accent but I'm sure it'd be the equavilent to me talking to the scouse, they are murder. I had a scouse holiday rep once and I'm pretty much sure I said yes to everything he said because I couldn't understand him
