Flames In 7!!!
 

I just had to make a thread about it, being from calgary and all. anyone following the playoffs? damn I hope they win tonight! gonna be one hell of a party on 17th ave tonight if they do, estimates are in at over 100,000 people!! GO FLAMES!

^ ya they did, the goal was clearly in, but whatever, we'll take it in this game. tampa's up by 1 right now, my guess is flames win 2-1. our city wants it more, we're paying over $100 per ticket, one guy even payed $6,000 for a pair at an auction, everyone's buying jerseys and T-shirts, every other car has flames flags and signs in the windows, people are crowding into the dome for this game to watch it on the big screens we're even showing the game in movie theatres. there's no way Tampa wants this as bad as we do.

true... i used to live in NY...everyone knows about hockey up north...here in FL, no one even knows what the stanley cup is...its sad but i gotta root for my hometown team...

we need this win, the entire city is getting into it, plus kipper and iginla deserve it, they've carried this team the entire season.

tampa won...how dumb i was watchin last nite and on the fone i was cheerin for calgar expecially when they scored that goal in the 3rd period i was flippin. then iginla shook st. louis and two more guys and i thought he would score but he didnt and tampa won...thats lame i wanted calgary to win even tho i live in Florida

damn that was depressing. I was at my friend's house, and the four of us just sad there, completely dejected. finally we couldn't watch it anymore, so we listened to some static-x, then went down to 17th to party for a while. sooo much fun, even though we lost, I love this city. Finally got home at about 1:30, so needless to say I'm really tired, only got about 4 hours of sleep

Calgary DID get ripped off in game six. But Tampa almost got ripped in game 7. There was clearly no interference call...but o well. It didn't matter. Great game 7, and a great series.

lol, no we listend to static x cause we were pissed off. partying on 17th cheered us up. ya we got ripped off in game 6, but it was such an awesome playoff, tamapa deserved to win in game 7. today there was a HUGE rally for the flames downtown. probably about 70000 people at least cheering them on, it was amazing. only had two calsses today so me and some friends figured we could stand to miss them :) the best thing is the attitide after we lost. everyone was carrying signs after game 7 on 17th saying things like "flames 2005" "still our champions" "thanks for the ride!" i'm gonna miss that, i'll be down there some night and start walking down the middle of the road and remember that i can't do that anymore.

Mudvayne, Korn, and Deftones are good to listen to when you're pissed off. :)

haha, good to know :) actually driving downtownwe had the beach boys on for some reason. the guy controling the radio was drunk, thats my only explanation :P:
