Taking a hit of LSD is less harmful to your body than eating a Big Mac at McDonald's. Marijuana, Magic Mushrooms, DMT, Peyote, and LSD are all examples of drugs that are harmless if used properly. I'd also like to point out that every drug I just listed contains no physically addictive chemicals. There is a vast difference between drug use and drug abuse. Don't make the mistake of blindly swallowing the fallacious **** the government attempts to shove down your throat. The government claims that certain drugs are illegal because they are dangerous to your health. Not true. If the government gave two ****s about your health, cigarettes and alcohol would both be illegal now as they kill more people each year than every illegal drug combined. The government doesn't care about all of those dying people. As long as they're making billions on cigarette/alcohol sales, they couldn't care less about you.

oh go stuff your mom.

anyways, one time, i guess i took a LOT of xanax and ended up paintballing my dad's store. i say i guess because the only thing i remember, after taking the pills, was waking up on the couch being verbally assaulted by my parents (which i deserved). i still dont have ****ing clue as to what else i mightve done until my mom showed up and whupped my ass.

What is xanax?

Stone Magnet 03-06-2006 11:23 PM

Xanax (Alprazolam) is a prescription drug used for the treatment of insomnia and anxiety. It is also used recreationally by some for it's relaxing sedative effects, however with excessive use it can be both physically and psychologically addicting. If not used very cautiously, it can become a potentially fatal habit.

So what reason could you give for the government telling people that these drugs are all dangerous to their health?

Also, do the harmless drugs which you mention include psychiatric damage and increased risk of lung cancer within the list of dangers they don't have?

Because if the drugs were legal, the covetous government would not make immense sums of money from them. People would grow their own marijuana, mushrooms, etc.. People could make a living off of peddling drugs and the government would not receive a penny of their earnings. Also, countless amounts of people are still being brought up thinking that behind every drug user is a communist preparing to overthrow the government (or whatever), so the decriminalization of certain drugs could hurl the country into a monstrous imbroglio.

Psychological damage only occurs when a drug is being abused. Those who are considering using drug(s) must be very educated and informed before doing so. Ingesting a large dose of LSD in an unfamiliar and unsafe environment is more than likely going to lead to a 'bad trip', and 'bad trips', at large doses, could potentially cause minor psychological damage. In rare cases, existing psychological disorders could be amplified by abuse of psychedelic drugs.

All of the drugs I listed to not cause lung cancer, or any kind of cancer for that matter. The only drug in that list that even affects a user's lungs is marijuana, and it does not cause cancer or any conspicuous lung damage. Recently some have been using smoking devices called 'Vaporizers' that allow a user to heat a substance to the exact temperature it needs to be heated to, to release only the active chemicals. Those chemicals vaporize into a 'thin mist', rather than potentially harmful smoke.

In that case, I'm unclear as to exactly how the covetous government is currently making immense sums of money from the currently illegal drugs. Wouldn't the people who peddle drugs when legalised be given high taxes on their sales, like that on tobacco? I agree about the imbroglio part, in that making any big change, in either direction, about drugs laws would cause a lot of confusion as people don't know if what they were doing before is now wrong, or if they should try drugs which they were told not to previously...

Don't make me get academic on yo' ass. Seriously, Fenixpunk was going off on a similar one a few months back and, much as I respect his opinion on all matters, I had to unload some of the e-journal firepower which, as a PhD student, I have at my disposal (Bungalowbill found this particularly amusing it seems). The research is there, showing the links between marjuana use and the development of psychosis. Comparatively, there is a tiny, tiny number of studies which haven't drawn a clear link between the two. I'll admit, I didn't do the same search for LSD, so I don't know whether or not there is a direct link. I've heard stories about people who have had 'flashbacks' but to be honest I've never met those people myself, so it could just be rubbish. The people I know who've taken LSD, have had some bad trips, but that isn't necessarily harmful, just scary at the time.

That vaporizer sounds very interesting! That sounds like a good idea if it works. Again, I've seen reports which say that marijuana contributes to lung cancer and reports which say it doesn't. Unfortunately, most of the reports and internet sites which say there is no lung cancer risk ramble on about research which was was done over a decade ago, whereas the current research has mostly identified a link between marijuana and lung cancer.

on topic: just a few fucked up experiences smoking pot:

on the last day of highschool, me and my friends smoked some pot, and i had the bright idea to try and get drunk too....beer+pot="where the fuck am i??"...i have no idea how i got on a bus and got home, but as soon as i reached my room, i passed out....

me and my sisters boyfriend got high and got the bright idea to go play ping pong ( we both love it....but when we're sober )....so since we didn't have any rackets, we came up with the bright idea to travel some 20 miles on a bus and go to a sporting gym that had a ping pong table and some rackets....and we started playing....and couldn't hit the balls.....that was hella fun.....

another time, me and my sisters got high and made some pizza and chilled, while we were eating, the tv turned all funky and the announcer came on saying " citizens of croatia, the first president of croatia has died tonight"....the first thing that popped in our heads was " when our grandkids ask us where we were when the first president died, we're gonna say, we were stoned out of our minds"

the first time i got really high, i was so fucked i just lay on the couch, when a doorbell rang, i got up and i swear to god, i couldn't see who it was, i just opened the door and let the person in and went back to chill on the couch and watch a movie...my sister is still trying to convince me that it ended completely differently than i saw it end....*shrugs*

oh, when i was on a highschool graduation trip to spain, me and my friend mostly smoked hash in teh hotel room while the others went out partying. it's quite amazing how easy it is to score hash ( and only hash, no pot aparently ) in spain. every time we went out into town, people were asking us if we wanted some hash....weird....one night me and him went to this bar that's famous for smoking pot...and lit up a joint in the middle of the bar....everyone else was smoking so we said hey...why not....that was fun....:)
ahhh...good times....
