I also had a dislocated thumb... never put my right hand behind my back when I was catcher... so a Foull Ball on the thumb and bang!

haha, thats awesome. yeah its amazing how much pain you can get through when you're in the middle of a game, or for me a day of skiing. i actually managed to ski down to the bottom on sunday, and when i got down the ski patrol told me it was highly likely that I'd fractured my hip. turns out they were wrong, just a very badly bruised bone, but still, i didnt even begin to notice how much it jurt until i actually got off the hill, then it actually hit me.

Adrenaline kicks ass. The only thing I couldn't physically carry on with was concussion, caused by someone kneeing me in the face. I played on for another ten minutes before everything went incredibly cloudy and suddenly I could see three balls instead of one, and aiming for the one in the middle wasn't working.

In retrospect, I must have looked like a short pyschopath during most matches I played.

haha, ahh the concussions. those are fun. i remember two years ago, trying to get my ski back on for about 15 minutes, there were two or three of them, it was confusing. and that was WITH my helmet on, i hate to think what state i would have been in without one....

That's pretty much the main reason I've never taken up skiing. That and living in Birmingham, obviously. Which is probably a fairly decisive factor.

If we`re talking sporting injuries I was playing darts in the pub & one fell out of the board & hit this fat old lady in the ass.
