Default Prom Song

I'm almost certain that this thread will flop hardcore, but what was that final junk they shoved down your throat at prom, the last slow dance that comenced high school, the one where you thought "I about 45 minutes away from some pretty amazing intercourse" only to find out, she payed $200 for that hairdo and she isn't screwing it up.

I wanna say mine was "Don't want to miss a thing" - Aerosmith, but I'll have to check, in the interum, you tell me what yours was.

I don't know which is sadder - the fact that they actually played that song for the last dance… or that you didn't get laid.

Didn't go to prom - but I do remember my graduation song was "End of the Road" by Boyz 2 Men. Worst yet was my wife's the next year (at the same high school), was "St. Elmo's Fire". CLASSIC.

I didn't go to my last year at school dance. Because it was craptacular in the making.

Having been to the one the year before hand (the two senior years are allowed to go even if you're still coming back to do your final senior year) and it totally bombed. No after party, you had to buy your drinks, no alcoholic drinks, and the closest we got to good music was Wooohoooo that blur song.

So in between that formal and the one that was to be my last, so much crap was spread about how bad the last one was, that I think they struggled to cover even the setup costs. teachers probably made up 40 percent of the people there.

I was happier out on the town in some club then at a formal.

Oh and get this. Our school year goes from February to December. I know that varies in America and other places. But the thing is we had our formal in July. Half way. What a ****ing joke how is anyone supposed to say goodbye to high school when you've got another 3 months of it?

****ing morons I tell ya.

at the school i went to, there were two formals a year.. one at christmas time for all three grades/levels (10, 11 , 12... 4th years) and then at the end of the year there was always a senior prom.. but you had to be a senior to go.. not counting dates..but you get it..

yeah, our grad banquet was basically just everyone getting all dressed up and eating mediocre food, listening to boring speaches, taking pictures, and then leaving an hour into the dance. After that, we all changed and went to a bar in the limo, and got very, very drunk. I don't even remember one song that played at our dance. And the grad itself was about a week before classes ended. We had our stage ceremony before finals were over, so we didn't even get real diploams, just a piece of paper in a folder that said "This certifies that ______ has fullfilled the neccesary requirements to attend this ceremony". Luckily I missed the stage ceremony because I was getting x-rays that morning I didn't really want to sit there while 300 other names were read out.

A couple of guys in a band at our school sang a slow version of The Beatles "Help". It seemed so appropriate at the time since not many of us really knew where we were headed.

We stayed out most of the night then jumped on a train and went to schoolies at the Gold Coast.

I don't remember what mine was because I was loaded and left early to go to a party, at which I was coerced into having awkward drunken sex with a girl close to twice my weight.

Good times..................Good times
