Thanks man! I wasn't expecting to get compliments. I started wearing them as I started longboarding and it was really wearing down my canvas sneakers. Before these I went through quite a few pairs of these:

Basically Converse ripoffs but made by unionized workers out of recycled rubber... Sort of the anti-Nike. I know, I know, it's way too hippie for a metalhead. What can I say, I love Dragonaut by Sleep.

Anyway, I think I'm going to have to pick up another pair of canvas sneaks... I have to stand almost all day at my job and it's so hot these days that the thick skate shoes give me heat rash sometimes. :/

EDIT: I should also mention that my mom practically forced me into buying shoes what weren't canvas as she wouldn't stop bitching about how often I had to replace them. She told me I should buy "sensible leather shoes". I almost went for leather Converse until I realized that shit is gay.
