vinyl vs. cd (cds, mp3, albums, member, tracks)

vinly owns cds cause its som much better but cds are portable meh

Easily cd.

Far more convenient. You can write them. Rewrite them.

Vinlys occassionally have better sound. There the advantages end.

ut cds degrade over time.....also yuo can put vinyls on ur comp too.....however thats done...ahh easy and portable then if u put them on mp3 ..but still vinyls pwn cds cause yeah they sound so much better

If I had the money I'd buy vinyl. All my cds are scratched up even though I take care of them.

I have no money to spend on anything, I have a big change jar but I'm 15 I'm hungry, and I also buy books, comics and video games so I'm just piss poor, plus no record player

CD, I don't really see why you'd want vinyl. It seems really inconvient.

Well, albums are great for nostalgia. I still have all mine (well, my Mom has them in her storage somewhere. LOL)

I jumped on the cd bandwagon in either late 85 or early 86. They were pretty new. I remember the guy in the music store dropping one on the floor and stepping on it, rubbing it around on the carpet, then picking it up and playing it. Amazing!!! LOL.

I know for me, personally, I don't take good enough care of my music. All my albums are scratched. But, it is really cool to hear the cracks and pops every now and then. Like I said, nostalgia.

My carelessness has carried over to cds, as well. A problem easily solved, though. I burn a cd as soon as I buy it. That way, the cd stays brand new. I have cds that are easily 10-12 years old and have been played less than a dozen times. If I drop a cd, no big deal. I have been looking at a burned copy of The Essential Dinah Washington on the passenger side floor of my car for literally weeks. If it were the original, I would have to pick it up immediately. LOL.

A case of 50 blank cds only costs, maybe 10-12 bucks. A lot of older music, albums were right around 30-35 minutes, and you can get two on one cd.

BTW, why isn't 8-track up there? Ah, those were the days. When your song would fade out in the middle, change tracks, then fade back in.

I like vinyl as collector's pieces and conversation, but they only sound better with a good record player. Also, they are quite a bit expensive for just starting out and getting into vinyl.

I prefer CD's, just more portable and that's the main thing that matters to me.

One of my cars still has an 8 track in it. Don't know if it works though. Can't find a cartridge.

There they were in a pile. A pile of little arms. And I remember... I... I... I cried. I wept like some grandmother. I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that.
