most of it points out things that we're already there to read about, coincidences and contradictions in the bible, 'oh look one of the dudes in the last supper is slightly femenine, maybe it's his wife, heh there's another one' *checks consperacy theory off on list* the other day i watched a programme that dictated that jesus fell unconscious on the cross and due to jewish holidays on the fifth day they had to take him down, making it so that he survived (most people take a couple of weeks to die of crucifixion) it also dictated that in the time he's missing in the bible he studied with buddist monks and was actually a reincarnation of the dali lama, also that the 3 wise men were the buddhist monks, it then dictated he went to france with his wife and child to escape and is now buried in persia....now is this fact? or just more theories. truth is people have to learn not to be offended when mistakes are pointed out in the bible, the gospels are just peoples accounts of what they saw, jesus' followers writing down what they remembered (ofcourse this is if you believe any of this happened in the first place) and the davinci code is just another load of theories that have been around for years being used in a FICTIONAL book and now it's in cinema it's going to be so overhyped and you'll have a crowd of people pointing going 'ahhh, ahhh see...' everytime something new is pointed out.
(it's a load of pants)
-however, im still going to go watch it, the film itself as long as it's being regarded as nothing but fiction aught to be quite good :) or so i've heard...
about this 666 thing, wasn't it in the news the other day, something about recent discoveries maybe saying that the number of the beast is 616 and we got it wrong? something along those lines...that would make this entire thing pointless in the first place.
