The Doctor Who Appreciation Thread
I don't know why I made this...I felt inspired after reading a certain eleven page thread somewhere around here. ;)
I'm really into the latest Doctor Who series. Mainly because of a certain little hot sidekick. *drools* Who is into the Doctor Who series? My favorite doctor is the one Colin Baker played. "Trial of the Time Lord" is a masterpiece. :) http://wheelinspace.com/images/DoctorsImages/Doc6c.jpg Rawk. |
I watched this one day, I hated it.
This show is so dumb. |
oh Christ, Urban isn't logged on is he???
|
I think I told Urban that right after I watched the episode.
It was sooooo bad. :shycouch: |

I just can`t stand the Colin Baker era in all it`s glorious technocolour pantomine cheapness.
|
It looks so... unbearably cheesy?
|
Wonderful...I let my lad stay up for this every Saturday night, like I did when I was a kid.
Scares the shit out of him, but he loves it. The new look Dr.Who is miles better than it used to be. But I bet you'll disagree Urban. :) |

The problem with the old series was there was so much padding , it was constant running around corridors , getting captured , escaping etc etc etc. Now that it`s 45 mins an episode they can`t do that & there`s a lot more emphesis of characterisation. And the extra money is a bonus too :D |
I agree that the new series overall is the best, but Colin is still the best Doctor.
|
Can someone please tell me what happened in the last episode on saturday?
|
i love the new doctor who!!!

Uk or amerika? |
I liked the latest Doctor, but they replaced him right after only one season. :-\
The new one looks like a geek, if I remember what he looks like correctly. |
Kripes you ever read any of the novels?
|
No, sir. I've got Doctor Who- "A Celebration" though by Perter Haining.
What are some good Doctor Who novels? |
Well some of the harder to get ones are on the BBC website as E-books.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/classic/ebooks/ Human Nature is an excellent read , Lungbarrow is good too , it`s a little long winded but it gives some of the reasons as to why the Doctor left Gallifrey in the first place.Although it answers them with even more questions. The Dying Days is supposed to be good to but i`ve not got around to reading it. But the best book i`ve ever read is this one..... http://www.whona.com/mm5/graphics/00000001/bbc8doc6.jpg Alien Bodies By Lawrence Miles On an island in the East Indies, in a lost city buried deep in the heart of the rainforest, agents of the most formidable powers in the galaxy are gathering. They have been invited there to bid for what could turn out to be the deadliest weapon ever created. When the Doctor and Sam arrive in the city, the Time Lord soon realises they've walked into the middle of the strangest auction in history - and what's on sale to the highest bidder is something more horrifying than even the Doctor could have imagined, something that could change his life forever. And just when it seems things can't get any worse, the Doctor finds out who else is on the guest list. In fact all Lawrence Miles books are great. |
I'll look for 'em. Particurally "Alien Bodies". Thanks. :)
|
When you find out what the auction is for it`s definetly a 'WTF !!!!!!!' moment ;)
|
i like the 8th doctors looks, and the ninth some too
