Lol@ this thread

Eh. I pretty much agree on the emo thing, with what the guy said 2 posts above. All that radio crap like Taking Back Sunday, (Cute Without The E...cmon' people..), and Hawthorne Heights.
But ya know if everyone had the same views as everyone else, the world would be a dull place. |

Yes, I started listening to emo that would be considered mainstream. Then a friend of mine who loves emo started loaning me alot of the music that you would call real emo. And you are correct, I did not like either form. But all I ever heard when I posted about emo was how I didn't know what I was talking about. Nothing that I have stated in these posts has been anything more than my opinion. Last time I checked that was the point of posting in forums, to share your opinion. I will not be crucified for posting my opinion when I read plenty of stupid **** on these boards daily. It may sound stupid to you but someone else may read it and agree wholeheartedly.

I have never heard a single one of those bands mentioned in any major music media outlet. Saturated? Are you f*cking retarded? I wanna know what magazines you are reading where these bands are constantly mentioned, and praised. It sounds like you have found the alternative music source we've all been looking for. Do share. |
Do you see the word praised or even mentioned in that post. Are YOU ****ing retarted?

*Eats handfull of popcorn, whilst reading.*

Oversaturated implies that there is an overwhelming intrest, and production of this music, that makes it into mainstream media.
Or wait, I'm sure that you meant it is gaining "popularity" in the "underground" All you did was copy and paste fourfa when you realized that you really couldn't name any emo bands. None of those bands are "gaining popularity" and if you can't realize that, and stand by your ridiculous statements, then, YOU are "f*cking retarded" |

Tell me that emo is not gaining popularity. Please, tell me that. And please tell me that when a person enjoys one band in a genre of music that they don't go listen to other bands in that genre. Please, tell me that. :bringit: |

Emo is not gaining popularity. There, I told you.
Now, tell me, that you honestly believe what you are saying. Embrace, Orchid, Indian Summer, these bands are gaining popularity? |

But do you not think that there has been a resurgence in the genre in the last few years?
|
Regression.

Sure do hear their names mentioned in these forums alot. Must be GAINING POPULARITY! :usehead: |

Hey, I'm just saying that all those bands are going to gain some exposure as more people start listening to emo. Go color or something motherf*cker!

I'd honestly have to say Saetia's been gaining popularity.
Edit: This is such a stupid thread. |

I agree and I'm done posting in it! |
Thank god. Take your stupidity elsewhere.

Hey now, just because you aren't getting along, you don't have to insult the thread. I intended this to have healthy arguments and create conversation, and it's working wonderfully.
|
Know what I hate?
n00bs. Work that wonderfully, hoe. :yeah: |
Heh. That amuses me. Slang like 'n00b' and 'lamer', were outdated in the 80's.
It's even still widely used on mIRC, unfortuneatly. No one is forcing you to post here, so you could have ignored it if you don't like it. :) |
I would also like to add, according to the recent forum rules post, any personal arguments instigated will result in users being banned. So we should all try to keep this musically related.
|
It was music related, n00b.
|
That last post, like the other I was reffering too, is not musically related.
|
shut up alex.
