Marijan...was it a personal attack or just a difference of opinions?
The debate was going fine until that cunt decided to meddle. Then it all turned to shit. She didn't call me a moron per se, but when someone laughs at your arguments in a deprecating fashion, I'd take that as an insult. It basically is like saying "Christ, you are a bit daft aren't you?". It stings...it's not done....

I'm trying to compare it with arguments here, but when we disagree with someone here, and I'm talking about the older members that get along, we think nothing of it, and we certainly don't try to belittle the other person do we?

I was trying to compare arguments between people that get along. I don't mind being rude to newbies and assholes.

And that last one was me being nice! (Or my version of nice...)

^ There's your answer then.

I doubt she dislikes you. You said you were surprised by her reaction and you got along when you met up.
Maybe she doesn't agree with your opinion and her comments may have been a bit strong. If it was in the context of the argument then maybe your just being a bit over sensitive and took it personal because you didn't expect her to respond in that way.

Stop being a big Jessy.

No, I would say she dislikes me either, but yeah...I don't know what to make of it and it's doing me fucking head in. Naturally, I feel she's in the wrong here, she probably doesn't feel she's done anything wrong, and by bringing attention to it I'd be making a big deal out of what probably shouldn't be.

But like I said, the problem wasn't that she disagreed with me, but that it was done in a belittling manner. I don't think I would do that to people I value, making references to someones intelligence...that's possibly the worst thing you could do. In my mind anyway.

Gah!

after reading through this thread, I would have to say she probably didn't mean any malice by it. I think you're probably taking things a little out of perspective

There's that honour thing again. ^

Kill her and her entire family, then dig up her ancestors and burn their remains.

@Theused: Probably, which is why I'm so fucked over it, I can't just step back and view it objectively. My problem is that I get attached to people too quickly and expect their complete loyalty. I'm a hypocrite because I say I try never to hurt the people I'm friends with in any way, yet that's probably impossible. I'm quite insane....
